Stretch marks are caused by skin stretching during rapid growth such as during puberty, rapid weight gain and most commonly, during pregnancy.
The treatment of stretch marks has been a challenge for years. The most effective way to permanently reduce and fade stretch marks is by producing new collagen and by generating new skin cells through a simple process dermapening.
Dermapening is also known as collagen induction therapy. The treatment uses a small rolling device that has tiny needles all over its surface. When the device is rolled over the skin the needles penetrate into the dermis layer, which is found immediately below the epidermis. By penetrating this layer it forces the skin to go into immediate healing mode. It allows the deep layers of the skin to thicken as it regenerates. What you notice and feel is a smoothing and evening of the stretch marks.
How many treatments will I need ?
Your medical professional will estimate the number of treatments needed. A series of 3-5 treatments is typically needed to accomplish the goal of fading stretch marks. Following a treatment, it takes at least 8 weeks to see the full effect from a single procedure.
Dermapening also effectively treats fine lines, wrinkles, evens skin pigmentation, smooths texture and shrinks large pores.
